We are committed to protecting our members' privacy and we
will not collect any personal information about you as a member
unless you provide it voluntarily. Any personal information you
communicate to us is kept within MACC itself in accordance with the
Data Protection Act 2001.
2.0 The Data Protection Act 2001
The Data Protection Act 2001 was enacted in December 2001 and
came fully into force on the 15th July 2003. MACC
therefore has the legal duty to respect and protect any personal
information collected from you and will abide by such duty. We bind
ourselves to take all necessary measures to prevent unauthorised
access to this information and will not pass on your details,
collected from you as a member, to any third party unless you give
us your consent to do so.
3.0 Information Collected
MACC collects contact or feedback information from its
members together with web page download information and site usage
information.
3.1 Contact or Feedback
When you fill the
"CONTACT US" form, we use
the personal information submitted in the form only to reply to your
message. This personal information will not be kept longer than
necessary and will therefore be deleted once the feedback
requirement is met.
3.2 Download Information
The website server
does collect some generic information which is then used to allow us
to understand how the website is performing and to decide how we can
change the website to improve the way it delivers information to the
visitor. Information collected includes a count of the number of
visitors, the pages visited, their country of origin and which
website referred them to this site. We also keep a record of which
web browser you are using and the operating system in use on your
computer. No information collected can be linked to an individual
and your total anonymity is guaranteed.

macc.org.mt creates "cookies" for each session when you visit our web
site. These cookies store information that is sent to your browser -
along with a web page - when you access a web page.
4.0 Links to other Web Sites
Our site has a number of links to other local and
international organisations and agencies. In some cases, for the
benefit of the visitor, it may be required that we link to other web
sites of other organisations after permission is obtained from them
respectively. It is important for you to note that upon linking to
another site, you are no longer on our site and you become subject
to the privacy policy of the new site.

If there are any changes to this privacy policy, we will
replace this page with an updated version. It is therefore in your

our web site so as to be aware of any changes which may occur from
